What’s the REAL Value of a Facebook Promoted Post?

What’s the REAL Value of a Facebook Promoted Post?

By now I’m sure most of you are well aware of Facebook’s ‘promoted post’ feature which was launched mid 2012, but for anyone scratching their head let me brief you quickly before we jump in any further. For any page with over 400 Likes Facebook has introduced an advertising option allowing you to promote any one of your posts – in order to ‘override’ Edgerank and increase the reach of the post from the average 2-7% of your fans it would typically reach.

In mid-2012 we were first engaged by the band and their management (Billy Blue Music) to spearhead the Digital strategy and promotion for the Baby Animals comeback; a privilege and an opportunity the Jaden team were all ecstatic about. This case study will now take an in-depth look at the preliminary 3 month integrated campaign that we built for the Baby Animals – all the way from inception through to execution.

Don’t write Myspace off just yet!

Are we about to witness one of the great comebacks of the Social Media age?

I have had a love/hate relationship with MySpace ever since I was introduced to the world’s first global Social network in late 2005. As a young hustling musician, MySpace was the perfect place to promote my band’s music (while also meeting girls at the same time).

Now I’m not going to write about the history of MySpace because Wiki and millions of others have already done great job. But it bears mention that the origins of what is now Jaden Social started on MySpace in early 2006, while the four of us were discovering the intricacies of online marketing and building a fanbase on MySpace.
