COLORSTARR is here

COLORSTARR is here

The time has come to share with you all something that we are seriously excited about – COLORSTARR!!

Colorstarr is the brand spanking collaboration of two of our good friends and long time members of the Jaden Social fam, Jey Gramm and Kristian Attard.

The debut 4-track EP from Colorstarr combines all the things I love about music – layer upon layer of melodically breathtaking guitars, a delicious blend of  live and synth basses, tight & energetic drums and a whole stack of cool as hell synths – and that’s before we even get to the insanely great vocal hooks.

With a sound comparable to that of Friendly Fires and Miike Snow, Colorstarr is definitely going to be one band to watch in the coming months, as they prepare to release the EP and hit the clubs with what will undoubtedly be an explosive live show!

If your appetite is suitably whet, the lead single “Masquerade” is now available for free streaming and download at Triple J Unearthed – where it has already hit Number 1 on both the overall and indie charts after being released  just over 2 weeks ago.

Introducing our new FAVOURITE content scheduling tool… BUFFER

As I’m sure you can tell from the title, either my capslock key is broken or I am pretty damn excited about a content scheduler called Buffer!

During the course of our daily tasks we have been trying a whole bunch of different apps for scheduling our Jaden Social content (and also that of our clients) – including Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Crowdbooster, Argyle Social, and the list goes on…

Using Facebook To Research Your Target Audience

Using Facebook To Research Your Target Audience

Part Two (read part one here)

So, in case you need a refresher, the pertinent questions being carried over from part one were:

1. What information does Facebook have that can help me to investigate my potential audience in different cities/countries, and

2. How can I find it?

Now as I mentioned earlier, most of my songs would have undoubtedly been #1 hits all around the world (if I hadn’t stupidly lost Jason Mraz’s mobile number…). On this premise, it should be a fairly safe assumption that fans of Jason Mraz will be pretty big into my stuff as well.

To get the information I am after, I will need to get into the Ads section of Facebook. I can do this by navigating to http://www.facebook.com/ads and setting up an account. Note that while you manage ads through your personal Facebook account, you will need to have a “Page” set up for your music before you can get access.

Using Facebook To Research Your Target Audience

Part One

Have you ever used Facebook ads to promote your music?

Before you answer that, I need to warn you that today’s blog post will not be a lesson in creating and optimizing Facebook ads; although I hope to take a little detour from the Twitter talk a little and get into some of that fun stuff in the coming weeks.

What I actually want to talk to you about is how you can use the Facebook advertising platform to get to know your target audience. And the best part – it won’t cost you a cent!!
